Xenon Hi / Lo Beam

Your particular vehicle may use a combination of Hi/Lo beam in the same bulb (H4 type - most for 4x4's & bakkie's).

Other vehicles may use a single beam for High and a separate single beam for Low (BMW, Mercedes, Opel, Jetta etc, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota LC).

We currently carry stocks of the H1, H3, H4, H7, H11, HB3 & HB4 kits

Many motor cycles also use these same types types of bulbs.

Fixed H7 Bulb

Moving H4 hi / lo bulb

H4 with Hi/Lo Beam

A Xenon bulb provides a single and constant light source. The H4 Hi/Lo beam effect is obtained, by moving the bulb forwards or retracting it backwards, when it receives the signal from your dip switch (Hi/Lo beam switch), this is done by means of a solenoid at at back of the bulb.

When the bulb is moved forward or backwards, it changes the actual point of focus within the reflector, thus changing the beam of light projected from your headlight reflector
